POSITION DETAILSThe Fullerton School District is seeking qualified individuals for part-time positions as Expanded Learning Lead Instructional Assistant. Under general direction, this position assists in the organization, implementation, and lead responsibilities of the expanded learning program for school-age children. This position is a primary responsible for assisting the Site Supervisor with site program planning and organization, student supervision, and provide direction to instructional assistant staff when the site supervisor is off-campus. The instructional assistant staff assigned to this program work directly with the students in instructional and recreational activities.HOURS OF WORK: The After School Program has set hours depending on the school site, but can be scheduled between the hours of 1 PM & 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Applicants MUST be available to work the posted hours Monday through Friday. Position can work 4-5 hrs/day (20 - 25 hrs./week), 10-months/year with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. The District offers employees assigned to work 20+ hours/week a comprehensive prorated benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation: Any combination equivalent to two years of college-level coursework at an accredited college. Emphasis in child development, education, or related field desirable. Experience: Two years related paid experience preferred. Child development permit desirable.Licenses/Other: Maintain valid and current First Aid and CPR Certificates must be obtained within the first six months of employment.For more information, please review the Job Description provided.Note: This recruitment is open to current permanent employees only. RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES
This will be a merged promotional competitive recruitment. Applications will be accepted from all qualified individuals.
The recruitment examinations may consist of written, performance and/or oral examinations. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination.
Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be one year. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies.
Date of ExaminationThe date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified by email, or in writing and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
